Every lyric is written by a human. Most of the compositions and arrangements originate from human-created musical ideas.
A.i.J.i. is the result of decades of songwriting and an unconventional way of finally recording it. AI helps interpret, perform and produce the material — but the experiences, words, much of the musical direction and final creative decisions come from me.

For years, the logistics of making music got in the way. Friends bailed, schedules clashed and equipment sometimes had to disappear to pay the rent. After decades of trying to assemble a band, I was left with an archive of more than 250 songs, but comparatively few finished recordings.
Before giving up on those songs entirely, I gave AI a shot. For the first time, there was a practical way to hear what I had spent so long writing. It isn't a substitute for the ideas or emotions behind the songs. It's a means of finally bringing them to life — and occasionally discovering an unexpected interpretation along the way.
A.i.J.i. also provides a persona through which to explore things that are difficult to revisit directly. Some experiences are easier to write about when a character carries the performance.
- The lyrics are mine. These words come from lived experience, imagination and human observation.
- Most compositions and arrangements start with me. AI assists with interpretation, performance, development and production.
- I have to enjoy the result. If it doesn't feel right, it stays unreleased.
- It's meant to be fun. A creative outlet, not a grand crusade.
